Where “Kip” comes from

A kip is a unit of force — 1,000 pounds — the increment structural engineers use to size a beam before it's ever poured. DevKip applies the same discipline to software: size the load, check the joints, stamp the drawing, build, then measure how it held before sizing the next one.

The mark is a D and a K sharing one spine, no more than the two letters need to hold their shape — Dev and Kip, the same discipline as the name. It's the drawing every DevKip engagement starts from, literally or figuratively.

How we work

  • Calculate, build, recalculate. Every engagement starts with sizing the problem — the architecture, the risk, the cost — but no structure is engineered in one pass. We build to a size, see how it holds under real load, and size the next increment from what we learned.
  • Inspect like it's someone else's money. Due diligence work is independent by default: we report what we find, not what's convenient to hear.
  • The team that designs it builds it. Nothing gets lost in a handoff between the people who ran the calculations and the people who pour the concrete.
